Mark and Marilyn Causey (Commented in April 2011):

"In 2005 we retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peoria, Illinois sold our home and became full-time RV’ers. We hosted at a private campground in the summer near Lake Shelbyville in central Illinois and were looking for some place with warm weather to spend the winter. Friends we camped and traveled with heard there were a lot of RV Parks in the Rio Grande Valley so one evening we searched the Internet and found the Mission Bell/Trade Winds web site. Everything we read about the RV Park and surrounding area was what we were looking for to escape the Midwest cold and snow."

"So we called and reserved a 4 month camp site. We quickly became involved with activities at the campground. We  learned a new card game called Pinochle, attended weekly golf socials, swam a lot in the park pool, attended dances, joined the RV park church choir and met many new friends from all over the Midwest and Canada. The past years have gone by quickly and since we feel at home here, we decided to buy a new trailer and spend as many years as we can at Mission Bell/Trade Winds RV Resort. We look forward to leaving the Midwest before the snow flies and getting reacquainted with our ‘Winter Texas’ friends as well as enjoying all the activities here. We have found a person can be as active or passive as they care to be at this RV park but we find it difficult to sit around with everything that happens each day."

Blake Harris  (Commented in April 2011):

"I purchased and had a park model setup in early December 2009 on Site #206, Mission Bell.  My first winter season at Mission Bell was 1995-96.  Western square dancing was the main reason for my coming to Mission, Texas.  A great dance hall floor at MB.  My wife, Ruth, and I were full time RVers from 1995 to 2008.  In Fall of 2009, I knew I was through Rving so I traded my 5th wheel RV and a 1 ton dual wheel truck for my new Park Model and purchased a small car for local transportation."

"What I like about MB are my friends here, activities of all kinds available, location to stores, banks, malls, hospitals, doctors, etc. Two or three miles will get one to any place one needs to go."

Dear Scot & Cynthia and crew:

"We would like to thank you for your extraoridary accommodating us while
we stayed at Mission Bell and making us feel at home. Your kindness and service far exceeded our expectations.  We stayed at other RV resorts in AZ, FL, TX, MN and none even come close to MB & TW.  We look forward to make MB & TW our winter home for many years to come.  Scot, we really miss your sermons at TW.

See ya next season,

Terry, Sun and J Jay

It was such a pleasure to be there last winter with our wonderful managers.     Also appreciate the fact that they checked trailers  after the big storm.
